Ever since Eunice Kennedy Shriver has created Special Olympics, it had ambassadors like Nelson Mandela, Arnold Schwartzenegger, famous singers like U2, Jon Bon-Jovi and Stevie Wonder, sports figures as Michael Jordan and Nadia Comaneci. Many important people all over the world have promoted the Special Olympics message and have reached to the international public opinion by participating to events organized by Special Olympics International.
Nadia Comaneci is the Vice-President in the Board of Directors of the Special Olympics International.
